$800k Loan Supports Build-Out of Local, Minority-Owned Business to Support Affordable Live/Work Housing in Santa Fe

Clearinghouse CDFI (CCDFI) provided a $800,000 loan to Homewise, Inc. to build out a locally owned and operated restaurant in Santa Fe, NM. 

El Camino Crossing is a developing mixed-use community aimed at aimed at revitalizing and providing affordable housing solutions to a blighted area of Santa Fe. Upon completion, the community will be comprised of 40 single family homes, 13 residential condos, 20 live/workspaces, and commercial amenities. Central to this development is an $800,000 loan from CCDFI for the establishment of a restaurant within this community. This strategic financing from CCDFI provides a platform for a small, minority-owned business, enriching the community with a unique culinary option while enhancing local employment opportunities.  

Homewise, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to securing affordable housing and supporting community development in New Mexico. Their comprehensive services include financial counseling, property development, and home financing, making them a pivotal force in fostering vibrant, sustainable communities.
