Clearinghouse CDFI (CCDFI) is helping to bring affordable assisted senior living to a low-income community in Indiana. Paul Ezekiel Turner, founder of Generous Heart Community Development, Inc. (GHCD), is working to supply affordable senior housing to Union City, Indiana. CCDFI is supporting this endeavor with a $10,112,000 loan.

Union City, Indiana is a rural community with very limited affordable senior living options. Mr. Turner of GHCD is purchasing a 48-unity facility while adding 26 more units to fulfill this need for local seniors. Upon completion, the development will be a full-service facility offering restaurant-style meals, social activities, laundry, wellness areas, and more. Financing provided by CCDFI is helping to bring construction to the existing facility that will be managed by Priority Life Care.

Mr. Turner is driven to transform lives for the better. His passions have led him to create multiple businesses that bring innovation and change to local communities. With his experience developing many assisted-living communities, Mr. Turner created his nonprofit organization to bring years of useful life and service to the local aging population.
