New Solutions began as a small, two-person operation.

New Solutions began as a small, two-person operation, with owners Nick Hambrick and Leonard Graves operating in 1995 out of Leonard’s garage. They entered the market as “the only wheelchair parts distributor owned and operated by the disabled.”

Thanks to financing from Clearinghouse CDFI, Nick and Leonard were able to expand business operations into their own building. They also gained access to permanent working capital to purchase wheelchair parts in bulk. This allowed them to begin manufacturing at their own facility and eventually become the second largest wheelchair parts distributor in the country.
