Lily of the Valley Christian Center – Oakland, CA

Clearinghouse CDFI (CCDFI) provided a $825,000 loan to Lily of the Valley Christian Center for the refinancing and expansion of their facilities in Oakland, CA.  

The loan allows the church to pay off existing short-term debts and fund the completion of the Lily of the Valley Christian Center’s A.L. Willis Life Center, aimed at broadening the church’s outreach and service capabilities within the local community. This new facility serves as a community hub, offering expanded services including educational programs, health counseling, and various social services primarily to the African-American and Hispanic communities in the area. It features new classrooms, offices, and a multi-purpose room, enhancing the church’s capacity to serve as a cornerstone for neighborhood enhancement and social welfare. 

Lily of the Valley Christian Center has been an integral part of Oakland since the 1980s, with a mission to reach the lost and broken, providing services with dignity and respect. This expansion represents a significant step in continuing their work of mentoring and supporting community leaders, and fostering spiritual and academic excellence.
