Open Door creates communal living spaces where residents thrive in a collaborative home environment that promotes community, connection, and sustainability.

Clearinghouse CDFI financed an $800,000 loan to Open Door for the construction and acquisition of a new communal home in Oakland, CA.

The new home provides affordable housing for 12 individuals who will share common expenses, including groceries and utilities. It also features a creative workspace for teams, social enterprises, and small businesses to work side by side and support one another.
