Temple Missionary Baptist Church
Temple Missionary Baptist Church (TMBC) of San Bernardino, CA provides weekly worship services, local and international missionary work, and childcare for families of first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic. TMBC also founded the Woodward Leadership Academy, a charter school serving local K-6th grade students.
Clearinghouse CDFI, in a participation with the Baptist Foundation of California, provided $300,000 to refinance TMBC with a lower interest rate and an extended term.
Despite COVID-19 restrictions in 2020, TMBC was able to grow attendance by 50% by offering online worship services. Clearinghouse CDFI’s participation loan will strengthen TMBC’s operations and help provide programs for their recently expanded congregation.
