Co-West Commodities is a food-waste and wastewater facility that recycles sewage into renewable energy.
Clearinghouse CDFI provided $3 million in bond funds and a $500,000 loan to Co-West Commodities for new commercial facilities that will deliver clean energy resources, greenhouse gas reductions, recycling, waste management, and wastewater treatment to the local communities. The new facilities will also implement a purification system which will clarify wastewater into pure distilled water.
This project will create 15 additional “green” jobs aimed towards restoring and preserving a sustainable environment.
