The Lafayette Hotel is a historic 133-room, boutique hotel located in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego, CA. Built in 1946, this iconic, community landmark hotel serves over 100,000 patrons annually.

Clearinghouse CDFI provided a $16MM loan for The Lafayette Hotel to recapitalize the property and establish financial stability through long- term financing.

Clearinghouse CDFI also provided $15MM of New Markets Tax Credit allocation in 2011 to The Lafayette Hotel for the redevelopment of the property. Revitalization of the hotel then spurred additional developments in the formerly blighted surrounding area.
