Comite de Bien Estar, Inc. is a nonprofit community development organization that focuses on social services and affordable housing development for migrant workers and other low-income individuals. Since 1977, Comite has helped to empower and strengthen this distressed agricultural community in San Luis, AZ.
Clearinghouse CDFI provided $472,500 in financing for Comite to purchase a property which serves as a convenience store and gas station. The store operates at break-even cost and offers discounted prices as an economic development service in this low-income community.
